Downtown Wheaton Association Announces Wine Selection for Wheaton Wine Walk


Wheaton, Il, July 24, 2019 – The Downtown Wheaton Association proudly announces the wine selection for this year’s Wheaton Wine Walk taking place on Thursday, August 8 from 5:00pm to 8:30pm in historic Downtown Wheaton.

The event, which features wines from around the world, will offer more than 60 wines for participants to taste as they sip, stroll and shop their way through Downtown Wheaton. Wine selections at each tasting location include:

Tastings begin at the new Martin Memorial Plaza where participants will check in and pick up their wine glass and tasting ticket along with a walking map to all the tasting locations. Early check-in will start at 4:30pm.

Participants will enjoy 12 one ounce tastings in their souvenir wine glass. The Wheaton Wine Walk happens rain or shine. Tickets are $35 per person in advance and $40 per person at the event. Additional tastings will be available for purchase at the event and will cost $5 for three one ounce pours or $15 for 12 one ounce pours. Participants must be 21 to participate and will need to present their picture ID at check-in to confirm their age.

Participants who are feeling creative can purchase a ticket for The Sipping Muse Paint & Sip event immediately following the Wine Walk and create an extra special souvenir. The ticket costs $15 and includes the participant’s choice of a blank red or white stemless 12oz. glass; painting supplies; instruction in a paint studio including how to prepare your glass, what brushes to use and painting techniques; individual attention from artists on staff; guidelines for curing and caring for your glass and a chance to win a public canvas event for 4!
