Where will the dinosaurs be located?

The dinosaurs will be located throughout Downtown Wheaton. A map of exact locations will be available soon on this page.

 

What else can I do while I'm in town?

Stay tuned for more information about dinosaur-related activities, specials, and more, coming soon. There's so much to do in Downtown Wheaton; you can spend the whole day with us!

Do the dinosaurs make noise?

Yes, the dinosaurs make noise (roar!) and move. Their eyes blink, their necks and tails move, and they even "breathe."

Where should I park?

Parking is free for customers in municipal lots, parking garages, and on various streets throughout Downtown Wheaton. A parking-specific map will be available on this page soon. Information is available immediately on the City of Wheaton's website (click HERE).

Can my business get involved?

Sponsorships are available. Please email DWA Executive Director, Allison Orr, at Allison@DowntownWheaton.com.

What does it cost to see the exhibit?

Thanks to our generous event sponsors, this exhibit is free for the public's enjoyment.

Can I touch/climb on the dinosaurs?

No, the dinosaurs may not be touched or climbed. They tour all around the world; it's important that we keep the dinos healthy, so they can continue their journey after Wheaton!

What are the hours of the exhibit?

The dinosaurs wake up at 8am and go to sleep at 9pm, so we encourage you to visit during their waking hours.

What if it rains?

This exhibit will happen rain or shine. Please note the DWA's Severe Weather Policy.

Are there educational resources for the exhibit?

Yes! This exhibit makes a great field trip or day trip for educational institutions. View and download the comprehensive educator guide HERE.

Do I need a reservation?

No, reservations are not required to view the exhibit.

What kind of dinosaurs will be present?

The following dinos will be visiting Wheaton: Herrerasaurus, Amargasaurus, Iguanodon, T-Rex, Oviraptor, Neovenator, Protoceratops, Triceratops, Leallynasaura, and Minmi.

Severe Weather Policy:
Unless otherwise indicated, outdoor events occur rain or shine. If lightning or other dangerous weather is imminent or present, the DWA reserves the right to cancel or delay any remaining event activities. Updates on the status of an interrupted or canceled event will be posted to Facebook and Instagram @downtownwheaton. Please note, event websites and social media pages may not be immediately updated to reflect any weather related changes. In the event a ticketed event is canceled, the DWA will email ticket holders with options for their unused tickets. 

Photo/Video Policy:
The Downtown Wheaton Association takes photographs and videos of attendees for the purpose of promoting our events, promotions, membership, etc. By attending any DWA events and/or promotions the participant (or parent/guardian of a minor participant) agrees to the use and distribution of their image/likeness (or that of a minor child/ward) in photographs, video recordings, and any other electronic reproductions of such activities for any purpose without inspection, compensation, or any other consideration now and in the future.
