As an Event Sales Manger, your primary focus will be driving sales growth and revenue generation through prospecting, soliciting, networking, touring, and negotiating new business opportunities in both corporate and social markets to include, but not limited to, social gatherings, weddings, and meetings.

You will also lead and/or assist in standard marketing practices for an event venue which includes, but is not limited to, social media content creation and posting, grow online client to business connection, keep up with the social media content creation and posting, grow online client to business connection, keep up with the marketing trends for our target market, and assist in evaluating the return on investment with marketing platforms.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of a degree in hospitality, communications, business, or at least three (3) years of experience in event or catering sales, business development, or a related field.

  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and Tripleseat or similar software.

  • Must be positive, enthusiastic, and creative with good attention to detail. Must always remain professional in appearance, voice, and follow-through. Must have good organizational, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills.

  • Must have an understanding of increasing revenues, controlling costs, providing a return on investment while consistently delivering a high level of service.

  • Must be able to work mornings, nights, afternoons, weekdays, and weekends when needed for tours or in-house events. Tours are available from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and weekends are based on event schedule availability.

  •  Knowledge of the events industry and current market trends.

  • Knowledge of how to use social media to drive sales: Primarily Instagram and Facebook. Experience in using TikTok, LinkedIn, and Pinterest is a plus

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • We are a small team and therefore we all wear many hats and are happy to roll up our sleeves to lend a hand whenever needed. Can-do attitudes are greatly valued and expected of all team members. 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Accept all incoming leads from phone, email, online marketing platforms, website, etc. in a timely manner.

  • Be proficient in and sell the appropriate product/service to clients.

  • Establish a client base of organizations, associates, social, and corporate business through direct outside and inside sales efforts.

  • Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with key clients in order to produce additional business.

  • Actively solicit new business through creative marketing, cold calling, and referrals.

  • Conduct tours of the venue and expose clients to its services.

  • Skillfully negotiate room rentals, contracts, decor rentals, and other variable services with clients and vendors to maximize revenue.

  • Assist in the implementation and achievement of the continual sales and marketing plan.

  • Learn and be proficient in Tripleseat and Merri Software.

  • Demonstrate knowledge in Wedding and Event contracts.

  • Lead and/or assist Director of Sales and Events with marketing efforts which include, but are not limited to, social media planning, content creation, and posting, imagery & copy for advertising platforms and online ads.

  • Assist in creating, planning, and executing in-house events.

  • Research and evaluate new marketing platforms and strategies as buying trends change.

  • Track conversion rates and strive for continuous improvement.

  • Pull sales and marketing conversion reports as needed to review with Director of Sales in weekly meetings.

  • Work diligently to achieve and exceed sales goals.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.

  • Maintain and present accurate records of sales activities and client interactions.

  • Work with Director of Sales on annual social media and sales plan.

  • Assume necessary duties in absence of Director of Sales and Events as needed.

  • All other duties as assigned or needed.


  • OTE $55,000-$65,000
