Pedego Electric Bikes of Wheaton is adding a new team member to take responsibility for their store. They are a locally-owned dealer for the leader in the exciting and growing Electric Bike market. Pedego has been open since 2021 and offers their customers a broad line of electric bikes for sale and rental, as well as a repair and maintenance to ensure customers receive exceptional service. This has fueled their success and resulted in a 5-star Google review average.

 

Pedego Bikes is seeking a self-starter who will delight their customers with a friendly, can-do approach that puts customers at the forefront of everything they do, turning them into friends and advocates. You will be supported by a dedicated ownership team, seasoned part-time sales associates and a dedicated service technician. In addition, Pedego has a corporate team and a network of stores around the country that are ready, willing and able to help you solve issues and be responsive to customers.
 

Job Requirements:​

  • Provide a superior, friendly and knowledgeable experience for all customers

  • Oversee and manage all activities, including for sales, rentals and service

  • Work with customers during store visits to close sales, including active follow up with buyers and potential buyers

  • Identify and execute ideas to generate store visits and interest in Pedego, such as 55 and over communities, physical therapy centers, schools, etc.

  • Actively participate in local activities sponsored by the Downtown Wheaton Association

  • Become an expert on Pedego products (bikes and accessories) and the overall e-bike market

  • Understand enough about maintenance to schedule, manage and improve service activities

  • Utilize systems to create quotes, close out sales transactions, handle rentals and execute service

  • Engage with Social media profile to achieve customer reviews and use of Facebook and Instagram pages

  • Oversee service, which includes final assembly of bikes, installing accessories, annual tune ups, warranty work and general maintenance

  • Work with mechanic to diagnosis problems, estimate costs, open and close work orders, order parts, and communicating with customers

Qualifications and Skills:​

  • Friendly, out-going with a history of serving customers in a retail environment

  • Anxious to learn and be an ambassador for e-bikes and the Pedego brand

  • Able to work independently, knowing when to ask for help

  • Meaningful retail management experience, ideally in a full-service bike shop and service work preferable

  • Comfortable with a relationship-oriented, high-ticket product

  • Experience using POS systems

Benefits:​

  • $50,000 plus bonus based on profitability of the store

  • Vacations should be planned for the off-season, Nov – Feb, plus one week in-season

Additional Details:​

  • From mid March to the end of Sept, Pedego expects the store to be open around 30 hours a week. In addition to store hours, you will spend time doing community events, group rides and other marketing initiatives. You should expect to be working 40-50 hours a week during this time

  • From Oct thru Dec, store hours are reduced to around 20 hours

  • Jan and Feb store hours are by appointment only
