What can patrons expect when they visit The Stork's Cradle?

The Stork's Cradle is a mother/daughter owned business focused on creating a beautiful shopping experience for the new mom (or Grandma!) We specialize in maternity wear, furniture, room design, special gifts, and clothes for baby's first year! Whether you need help creating your dream nursery, discovering style tips to outfit your new "mommy figure," or finding that one-of-a-kind shower gift...we have it at The Stork's Cradle!

Why did you start your business?

We dreamed of opening a baby boutique for years...when the opportunity presented itself, we dove right in! We make many of our products, so "creating" the store was the next logical step. It's the perfect business...everybody is happy...we celebrate with our customers all day!!

What's one of your popular items these days?

Our most popular item (since we opened!) is our handmade chenille doll. It is a safe, sweet, washable doll that can be embroidered with the child's name. The doll makes a perfect gift for any special little girl or boy in your life! You can pick both the hair and skin colors. Many of our gifts can be personalized...everybody loves something with their child's name on it!

What makes The Stork's Cradle a unique part of Downtown Wheaton?

We love to be part of our littlest customers' lives...whether it's because we created their "big kid room," offered rubber duckies every Halloween, or had the ballet dancers in the window each Christmas...it thrills us to think we will become part of the happy memories of their childhood! We love that new Grandmas are "born" every day in our store, that our handmade doll is "THE DOLL" for girls all over the world, and that children visit us...just because!
