What can patrons expect when they visit Skylight Bakery Cafe?

We serve breakfast and lunch, and also sell desserts and pastries. Sandwiches and paninis are our popular items. Kids and those who are young at heart love our cupcakes. Other popular items are individual size scones, tarts and pies. We have delicious cookies in a bag or decorated cookies. Customers can also order personalized birthday and party cakes from us.

Where do you get the inspiration for your restaurant?

There are not many individually owned quick service restaurants and I thought it would be a good idea to start one. Our sandwiches taste much better than what customers get from a franchise shop. I hope to serve the community with a healthy and tasty breakfast or lunch menu and offer delicious pastries.

What's your favorite item on your menu?

My favorite sandwich is Cajun turkey on a ciabatta panini. Both the meat and bread are wonderful. My favorite pastry is lemon tart.

What makes Skylight Bakery Cafe a unique part of Downtown Wheaton?

Many customers told me that they are glad to see a bakery in the downtown area.
